Freddy is always about, but he never attacks Jason or Billy. Freddy is merely a backdrop character. Jason and Billy find out that the animatronic dolls are actually fake, and that Freddy has a grudge against them. Jason and Billy have to find out what happened to Freddy and stop him before it's too late.

While the story of Five Nights at Freddy's is an interesting one, it might not be the best one about. Because of the way the game has been put together, the events that happen may seem unnecessary or confusing initially. However, as soon as the narrative and the characters are clarified and the storyline starts to fall into place, the game begins to make sense.
